You may well have seen our barrage of posts over the past month about our Super Silent Auction to raise funds for the hall redevelopment, and with just 7 days to go to get your bids in we thought we'd give you a wee bit of an update on how it's all going.
Hall Redevelopment Project
In just over a year we have managed to raise a staggering £300,000 towards our target of £412,000 which will enable us to renovate & extend the existing hall and bring it up to scratch. The hall is a vital part of our community and hosts every event you could think of - music, arts, community events, sports, school activities, burns suppers, meetings and conferences, ceilidhs, even acting as our polling station... the list goes on. Building works commence in May this year but we still have around 25% of our target to fund and ensure that the 'new' hall will have everything our community and visitors need.
Silent Auction
We have 32 amazing lots on offer in our Super Silent Auction and you could get your hands on one (or more!) by placing your bids before 19:00 on Friday 22nd March. The lots include tickets to the 2019 British Grand Prix, a wide range of 'Knoydart Experiences', Scottish holiday packages, original compositions by some of the Knoydart's musician pals - and even a private tour of the Tunnocks factory!!
How it works: head over to our Auction page where you will find info on all the prizes. Pick your favourite(s) and decide on your maximum bid then submit it via the form at the bottom of the page. When the auction closes on Fri 22nd we will collate the submissions and the highest bid first wins!!
With just seven days to go until the auction closes we have had a phenomenal response and your generosity & support is, as always, overwhelming. This auction is vital in helping us reach our end goal target of £412k so we thank you for taking part and continuing to support us.
