A Successful Volunteer Day

We held a last minute end-of-holiday volunteer day on Sunday 5th January and once again the community came to our aid and we had a very productive - but hard going - day!

As you may remember, we saved the old floorboards from the main hall area to be reused in the renovations, so on Sunday we made a start at prepping the boards.

Click on the slideshow below to see what we got up to.

The boards were cut to size, sanded, cleaned and fire coated thanks to the efforts of around 10 locals who braved the wind and rain to join us at the hall. Morag saved the day as always by providing homemade soup and bread to refuel us at lunch time.

Once complete, the boards will be used to form a dado rail around the main hall area, along with being used to form the supporters wall of fame in the foyer.

If you'd like to Buy a Brick for our wall you can find more info here - there's still time to get involved!
