Hello everyone!
Well, it's been a while since we've updated this blog - sorry about that. As happened across the world, we were wound up in all things Covid-19 in 2020 so everything at the hall ground to a standstill from March onward. Despite everything, we were able to get the hall refurb pretty much finished! There's still a few small aesthetic jobs to finish like buying curtains, touch-up painting and finishing the new stone wall out the front, but we're almost there.
The hall hasn't been completely out of action - the new meeting room was turned in to a community food larder at the beginning of the pandemic to support residents and offer produce from the community garden. It has been great to see even just a small part of the hall finally being used by the community.
Despite Lockdown 2.0 coming in to effect at the end of 2020, the committee are looking forward to what this new year will hopefully bring and we held a long overdue meeting just after New Year to regroup and make some plans. We are working on a provisional schedule and all going well we hope to be able to put some events on in the latter half of the year once restrictions allow and it is safe to gather. In the mean time, please keep an eye out on our website and social media feeds for updates, and fingers crossed we will all be dancing together like loonies before long.
